Real people, honestly shown
Named historical individuals give the atlas its human doorways. Each is documented as far as the evidence goes and no further: identity certainty and likeness certainty are labelled separately, and every reconstruction shows its evidence.
No people is reduced to one figure, and future collections will choose the human doorway that fits their evidence — a documented historical person, a photographed individual, a living artist or writer, several figures, or none at all. The standard lives in the repository's named-figure rules; the methodology explains the labels.
